Amarillo / Canyon Crime Stoppers

Overview

Citizens throughout the Texas Panhandle utilize Amarillo Crime Stoppers to pass on information that could possibly lead to an arrest of suspects.

Amarillo Crime Stoppers and Student Crime Stoppers are non-profit organizations that are operated by separate citizen's Board of Directors. The coordinators, who are members of the Amarillo Police Department, run the day-to-day operations.

Amarillo Crime Stoppers and Student Crime Stoppers take anonymous tips on unsolved crimes and the location of wanted fugitives. If the information leads to an arrest we pay cash reward of up to $1000. Apprehension of suspects and protection of the identity of those providing the tips takes high priority.

Crime Information

Corporal Scott Welling with the Amarillo Police Department is assigned as the coordinator for the Amarillo Crime Stoppers program. His office is located on the first floor of the Amarillo Police Department in the Crime Prevention Unit.
