are non-profit organizations that are operated by separate citizen's Board of Directors. The coordinators, who are members of the Amarillo Police Department, run the day-to-day operations.
Amarillo Crime Stoppers and Student Crime Stoppers take anonymous tips on unsolved crimes and the location of wanted fugitives. If the information leads to an arrest we pay cash reward of up to $1000. Apprehension of suspects and protection of the identity of those providing the tips takes high priority.
